The Tribute to Valor Foundation was founded in 2018 as an all-volunteer organization focused on influencing, impacting and inspiring students involved in STEM curriculum. Our goal is to help these students understand and engage the values of the Medal of Honor; Courage, Sacrifice, Patriotism, Citizenship, Integrity and Commitment.

We also provide students with the opportunities to meet and learn from wounded, ill, or injured service members, and understand the importance of STEM and how new technologies have been critical to improving their quality of life and that of their families. Engaging young people with these veterans gives the students a unique perspective of the positive impact STEM can make in the lives of others.

We accomplish our goals by working with school districts and bringing Medal of Honor Recipients, those who have earned our nation’s highest award for valor in combat, to engage with students through assemblies, workshops, presentations and unique immersive experiences. There are only 70 living Recipients of the Medal of Honor – true national treasures that are committed to “paying it forward” by instilling in young people the responsibilities of being Americans, and to demonstrate those special values of character in their lives.

C.a.S.E. – Character and STEM Education

Our intent is to inspire students to view STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through a unique lens, and help them to take a critical look at STEM as a path to pursue. Working with educators and administrators, the Tribute to Valor Foundation will provide opportunities to students to participate in programs that enhance their understanding of STEM and Character Education.

While the Tribute to Valor Foundation’s prime focus is on students engaged in STEM curriculum, we also look for opportunities to impact and influence students not involved in STEM. We strive to help them learn about those opportunities, and the indelible and positive impact STEM can have on the lives of themselves and others. Technologies such as the iBOT mobility system, the Trax Chair and the Exsoskeleton have been vital to enhancing mobility and independence for many disabled men and women, including many of our nation’s veterans.

“The time our team spent with Sgt. Beikirch was such a blessing. His message to our young men about the value of living a life of service to others was a great reinforcement of our team values. I believe Sgt. Beikirch’s humble spirit will leave a lasting impact on the GHS football program because of his example of living a life of integrity, honor and service.”

Mike Alexander, Head Football Coach - Grapevine High School

“What an awesome experience for the students and myself! So inspiring to hear their stories. I think this is especially helpful for 6th grade middle school students as I see a few starting to go down the wrong path. It is such a huge transition from elementary school to middle school and the students need all the guidance they can get. My son was super impressed and cannot stop talking about it. My students have been talking about courage, bravey, opportunities and integrity. Warms my heart to hear my 6th graders discussing this with their peers and myself!”

Tara Hohenberger, 6th Grade STEM Social Studies - GCISD

“This experience has meant the world to me, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I was excited to take advantage of. I will be forever grateful for the new friends and opportunities that were given to us through The Tribute to Valor Foundation and their sponsors. I know all of us are incredibly thankful for this opportunity and will be forever thankful.”

Student, from STEM-Liner Trip

“The students were so attentive to the message “Who am I?” and the overall response was second to none.”

Joy Vandel, Central High School – St. Joseph, MO

“On behalf of Birdville ISD and Haltom HS, I would like to thank the Tribute to Valor Foundation as well as presenters for coming to our campus and sharing their personal testimony of “Who am I” to our students, faculty and staff. The positive impact this foundation and presenters are making on today’s youth in our public schools is powerful. I have been an educator and coach for over 18 years and I am witnessing more and more students who lack the core values needed to be productive citizens in society. The message and interaction that the presenters of Tribute to Valor provide is heartfelt, inspiring and an experience like no other. We are honored and excited to partner with Tribute to Valor in hopes of instilling and engaging the values of the Medal of Honor; Courage, Sacrifice, Patriotism, Citizenship, Integrity and Commitment into our student body.”
