On October 24, 2025, the Village of New Lenox hosted a special recognition dinner to honor distinguished Tribute to Valor members Jim Palmersheim, Tony Orlando, SMSgt (Ret.) Israel Del Toro, Jr., and Ret. CW5 Gary Linfoot. The evening brought together local business owners, community leaders, and elected officials in a shared show of appreciation for the honorees’ extraordinary service and continued commitment to their community.

During the event, Mayor Baldermann delivered remarks highlighting the mission and impact of Tribute to Valor, emphasizing the importance of preserving and sharing its message. He expressed sincere gratitude to Jim, Tony, Israel, and Gary for their sacrifice, leadership, and dedication to promoting the organization’s six core values: courage, sacrifice, commitment, integrity, patriotism, and citizenship. Attendees were encouraged to embrace these values in their own lives and to live with greater gratitude, courage, and integrity—principles exemplified by the honorees throughout their service and beyond.
