This is a special, one-of-a-kind portrait depicting LTC James “Maggie” Megellas crossing the Waal River under enemy fire during Operation Market Garden. The crossing is known as one of the most daring missions of the Second World War and was the focus of the movie A Bridge Too Far.

The portrait was created by Susan Norris who is the official artist for the Boy Scouts of America, and was presented to the Megellas Family at Maggie’s 103rd birthday celebration. Actor John Ratzenburger, who played the role of Maggie in the movie A Bridge Too Far helped unveil the original.

Proceeds from sales of the print will benefit the Megellas Scholarship through the Tribute to Valor Educational Outreach Programs.
